I just happened upon your blog, and must say I love it. Reading your blog is like sitting down with a good friend over a cup of coffee and listening to her experiences and thoughts. If you haven’t already, you should write a novel, you have a gift of story telling, not to mention a photographic eye.

Thank you Nikki, for this inspiring story that you passed on. I am now starting to collect cans to help. And it feels really good to know that what I’m doing is helping someone in need, even if other people don’t understand it. I will pass on the article, in hope of them passing it on and make a difference. Thanks again!

    Hi!

I’m from Portugal and here also gathered a bit of everything to help those in need, especially children. In fact, I’m a volunteer and so sincere in saying that is the best thing I ever did in life. When distribute clothing, food and toys we received smiles. Those smiles that make up all the work we had to raise a few dozen things.
The protagonist of this news is an example to us all. He proved that aid has no age or social class. Not only the rich can, or should, help. All we can, or should, do it.

    Thanks

    Kisses

wow thats amazing. people out of the world do such greate things for other people and sometimes we dont even know of them. I feel that i dont have a talent in me o i have to do someting that matters so i have signed up for working ith people who needs help, like this people i pakistan, they dont have food water or anything, i can sleep under a wrof every night but they cant. they get rapped and abbused, so if i go there and help i do something orth while. its reminds me of this man in the artikle, he wants to help. Thank you so much for sharing this story! It was very inspirational. One of my favorite quotes of all time is one from Plato “Good actions give strength to ourselves and inspire good actions in others.” I truly believe that.

very interesting to read!here (in France) we have quite the same thing.we collect caps in order to buy wheel chair.Unfortunately it takes a very very long time to buy a part (i’ve been saving it for 5 years and i only bought one wheel!)
Anyway it’s good to see that there people who cares for the others!

I had an older couple come into my lane at work the other day. They bought 50 pairs of childrens shoes, about 20 backpacks, and 20 boxes of pencil crayons. They spent close to $500 and told me they were giving it all to underprivileged children!
The things you hear about people doing just blow your mind. It’s so great that there are still people in the world who want to help others, so thank you for sharing that story!
